Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to digital accessibility for all users
1. Our Commitment
1.1. Freya Finance is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
1.2. We believe that every user should be able to access and use our platform effectively, regardless of disability, assistive technology, or browsing environment.
2. Conformance Standard
2.1. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
2.2. WCAG 2.1 Level AA covers a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible, including requirements for visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
2.3. While we strive for WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, we recognize that full compliance is an ongoing effort and may not always be immediately achievable for all content.
3. Accessibility Features
3.1. Keyboard Navigation. Our platform is designed to be fully navigable using a keyboard alone. All interactive elements are reachable via Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Escape keys.
3.2. Screen Reader Support. We use semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and descriptive labels to ensure compatibility with popular screen readers.
3.3. Text Alternatives. Images, icons, and non-text content include appropriate alternative text descriptions. Decorative images are marked as such to avoid confusion.
3.4. Color Contrast. Text and interactive elements meet minimum contrast ratios as defined by WCAG 2.1 AA (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
3.5. Focus Indicators. Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements to help keyboard and assistive technology users identify their current position on the page.
3.6. Resizable Text. Content is designed to remain readable and functional when text is resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
3.7. Consistent Navigation. Navigation mechanisms are consistent across pages. Page structures use proper heading hierarchy (h1 to h6) for logical content organization.
4. Supported Technologies
4.1. Our platform is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Screen magnification software
- Speech recognition software
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Switch access devices
4.2. Our platform is tested on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge browsers.
5. Known Limitations
5.1. Despite our best efforts, some parts of the platform may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include:
- Trading Charts: Interactive candlestick and indicator charts may have limited screen reader support due to their visual complexity. We provide data tables as alternatives where possible.
- Real-time Data: Live price feeds and trading data updates may not always be announced to screen readers immediately to avoid excessive interruptions.
- Third-party Content: Some embedded third-party content or widgets may not meet our accessibility standards.
5.2. We are actively working to resolve these limitations and improve accessibility across all areas of the platform.
6. Feedback and Contact
6.1. We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Freya Finance. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:
6.2. When contacting us about an accessibility issue, please include:
- A description of the issue
- The page URL where the issue occurred
- The assistive technology you were using (if applicable)
- Your browser and operating system
6.3. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to resolve reported issues as quickly as possible.
7. Assessment and Testing
7.1. We assess accessibility through a combination of automated testing tools and manual review.
7.2. Automated testing is performed using industry-standard tools including Lighthouse, axe DevTools, and WAVE.
7.3. Manual testing includes keyboard navigation testing, screen reader testing, and visual inspection of color contrast and text readability.
